Right from the day NCB (Narcotics Control Bureau) has taken over the investigation to probe drug angle in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case, it has managed to scrutinize as many as 33 people who are named in the charge sheet filed yesterday in a special court.
After the death of Sushant Singh Rajput (SSR), various central agencies were hired after the Mumbai Police couldn't nail down any culprit in the case. The investigation was started when CBI took over the case. Very soon, it looked like a lot of Bollywood stars, directors and film producers are about to be scrutinized. It was primarily because a lot was happening in the background where people couldn’t analyze if everything was going in the right direction. But when the drug angle came out in the case, NCB took over to dig more details in the case. NCB happened to be the first agency that started working very fast. It first nailed down Bollywood actress Rhea Chakraborty. She was also the girlfriend of Sushant Singh Rajput. Slowly and steadily, it started coming out that there is a big drug syndicate involved in the SSR death case that has to be nailed down at any cost. From the very beginning, the central investigating agency started working in the case with acute precision to nail down all those involved in the drug racket. But it came out the fact that Rhea Chakraborty was involved in the drug racket in a major way among others. Later, it was found that many other Bollywood stars and film directors were involved in the drug racket that was flourishing at a very high scale. NCB managed to arrest several people connected in the drug racket including Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Shovik Chakraborty and many others only after getting all the leads and confirmation to establish the case. People can't forget the day when NCB had arrested Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Shovik Chakraborty in connection with the drug racket involved in the murder of Sushant Singh Rajput (SSR). In the last 8 months or so, the central agency has questioned loads of people connected in the drug case and almost nailed down each one of them who are involved directly or indirectly into this case. As per the Bollywood News NCB has again come out in the open to file a charge sheet against 33 people. Out of the names included in the charge sheet of NCB, the names of Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Shovik Chakraborty also do exist. The document comprising all the 33 names in the list has almost 1200 pages along with the statements recorded by over 200 witnesses. It also claims that she was the active member of the conspiracy to both supply and procures drugs in a free flow mode. Those who are actually named in the charge sheet include the names of the executive producer of Dharma Productions Kshitij Prasad, Deepesh Sawant (Sushant's helper), drug dealers Samuel Mirnada, Abdel Basit and Zaid Vilatra. Even after arresting Rhea Chakraborty and his brother in connection of the NDPS Act, both of them were released later on bail. NCB (in its investigation) seized loads of gadgets and other electronic items that helped the agency to nail down all those involved in the racket. The charge sheet also states that all the tests that were conducted at that time on various Bollywood stars and others confirm that they were narcotic in nature. Most of the time, the narcotic substances included LSD, Ganja, Charas and many other psychotropic substances like clonazepam and alprazolam that were all covered under the NDPS Act.
